It's been a few years since I've played and wanted to ask, are recipes still invisible in the research tree until you've crafted the necessary/relevant items? I remember before the big Research update that that's how you learned how to make new items, like learning what one of the Alloys are when you first smelt a necessary bar like Zerchesium Bar -> Advanced Alloy
I don't dislike the Research system, I just really enjoy the wonder of making something for the first time naturally teaches you how to make new items that you've never seen before. That's something that the Tree system spoiled for me, I don't want to know what things will teach me until I make them.
I've tried looking into other people making similar requests or mods to address this rather particular hang-up, but it always just came to "go admin mode and unlock everything" or "make every research node require 1 point to unlock".
That's weird, do you have other mods installed?
Some other mods have "fixed" vanilla mechanics by allowing the crafting in other stations that by common sense should be allowed. This mod facilitates the need for how-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-many more stations, in the same gameplay mode-set as vanilla, but worse because research is a thing. You can't ignore them. Just so you know these researches and quests are just a lot of button clicking in the theme of WoW fetch quests. They COULD do this in a way of multiple progressions, but instead they act as hurdles... And what do i mean by that? Having crafted 20 tungsten bars, Vs. having 20 tungsten bars is an example.
So, No, Its not worth what it adds, Vanilla has too many crafting stations already. I would call it a vanilla+ mod but its literally rewriting vanilla in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, and worse way.
I just love making rayguns with that mod when it comes to machine pistols, lol
If you're hoping for a big mod that'll fix the glaring issues of Vanilla Starbound. This isn't what you're looking for. BUT if you like futuristic feeling stuff and grinding grinding grinding you'll prolly like it
That's right, those freaks that actually interact with that nsfw mod don't deserve anything
I can bet you 9/10 that most people don't want anything to do with Sexbound.
It's an nsfw mod on LoversLab.
There are actually a *number* of variants on each theme, too - some are omnivores but are affected differently by certain foods. They arent employed often, but they do exist.
The rest is up to people to support via their races patches, etc.
I've no intent to change diet types arbitrarily without reason if it doesn't fit the race, though. You of course can easily patch it if you desire!
