Sometimes you have to remove all ambient sounds of the map using "stopsound" console command before spawning the killer so that the terror radius music works correctly.

Not really sure why it's happening for you, cause the Houndmaster's ptb music works fine for me.

The overall sounds can break if the music is pretty long, yea, because I guess it takes more space of RAM or something like that. Also keep in mind what the amount of current map's ambient sounds could affect that. I think the terror radius music should be no more than one minute ideally, as I tested, but you can still try more.

It's also always worth checking if loop points are added to the music via Wavosaur so that the music can actually repeat itself. Forgot to do sometimes this myself.

So I tried adding my own custom terror radius, but the chase doesn't loop like it should. I don't know if it's because it's too long or something.

I think it's supposed to work like that, since there are DrGBase and Gmod entity detection functions what don't count players as targets, when they're in the line of sight but the "ai_ignoreplayers" is set.

This is just how it works and I think it should be fine.

Chase does seem to start when the nextbot is not moving with like ai disabled and if the ignore player is enabled as well

Tried removing one material (nodraw one) from transparent materials list, used to check if the chase can be started. That's what I can think of now, about what could cause the issues.

Try rapidly deleting nextbots or using the map cleanup, thats how i got it, rn its disabled for me as that bug is frustrating

It's fine. I'd actually prefer to wait for a Recode, that way you can do it when you feel like it, at your own pace, and you don't have worry about turning it into DBD's spaghetti code somehow. So, yeah, I don't mind waiting. You do you. :steamthumbsup:

I think, I tried to tweak that. I thought the DSP preset set to 0 for the music sounds would do that, but it seems it doesn't. Not really sure what to do now, unfortunately.
Maybe I could try some other things, but I think it would be better to fully remake the code of this addon to be more cleaner and easy for update. For now I'm a bit scared to just add new lines of code cause it looks like a mess :csgohelmet: Sometime I'll rewrite the code properly, then it will be also compatible with survivor's ambient music I hope, which is in plans.

Maybe never. I mean, yeah, it's not impossible for him to come back, but with the begging pandemic going on? It's the entire reason the PPT addon got privated. Again, it's not impossible for him to back. At the moment, all we can do is wait and see. Who knows, maybe if he does come back, the addon will get a huge update. But that's wishful thinking these days.

can this be used but for individual dbd killers? like say i have only michael myers from the same creator as the pack, would it work? because i see that the requirement is the entire pack and im having issues with performance when using the pack

Moldy Chrissant, that would be a nice thing, but to do that, I need to change lots of code, cause of how it is written and working now. Maybe I'll decide to do something like that sometime, but I'm ain't prepared for that now.

I don't know if you'd feel like doing it or not, with all the work you've put into the Survivor Nextbots, but I'd like if the Chase Music had a clientside reset, so if you lose chase and get back in one, the chase theme won't start from the middle of the theme. You don't have to, it's just my suggestion.

The Springtrap's terror radius will be added soon enough, just had to make sure it will not get changed on release patch.

This mod should be able to give other nextbots a terror radius, tho. There are special files for that.

I Hope we actually get an update that lets us have one nextbot spawned in to have chase music while the rest is disabled.

If your wondering why I want the ability to change the chase trigger range, The killer bots can spot you from the other side of the map and I just would like to know when their currently aware of my position. Since, half the time I can't see them until their right on my butt.
