Currently, the only compatible 'BYOS' mod (besides FU) is MadTulips Spaceship Mod

Just wondering if there is a mod that just uses the neki body without the cat features? like a human version.

I could probably make one, but I didn't think it was necessary.
As I pointed out in the description above, the Neki T1-T8 ships are based on the Apex ship layout, so you could simply take a look at those for reference :)

i recommend you specify in the description weather you object to SxB related addons, if one does not want such content based on your mod its best to say so.

I've indeed made a few changes to the ships, as detailed here in the Change Notes :)
I've changed that obnoxious red background color and removed some unused entries from the blockKey.config, one of those probably caused your mod to break.

Should be a pretty easy fix for you, glad you found the cause so quickly \^-^/

It was the 'Clear Neki Ship Background' mod I made, it overrided the shipworld of your mod with mine (it was meant to cover the 2x2 windows bc the background is entirely glass, to make it look more natural, was not expecting it to cause that severe of a tile mismatch)

though, for the record- if I may ask, have you made any changes to the shipworld, or the ship at all in the previous updates? I might have a theory on this issue that narrows my search a lot lmao

However, I'd need more information to reproduce your issue, because I start new characters while testing new features on almost a daily basis, and that's never happened to me.

If you wish to help troubleshoot it, I'd suggest starting clean (with no mods), and then adding them back in a few at a time, to narrow down which mod may be causing it after being added - and then letting me know so that I could add a compatibility fix on my end, if it's something I can fix that way ^-^

heya uh, Im trying to fix the bug on my end, but it's not a crash so I doubt theres much in the crashlog

When I start a neki character, or even as much as respawn afterwards, my character literally clips through the floor and falls out of the ship- would appreciate a fix :D love this mod regardless so would love to enjoy it once more thank u

Heyo, Lona here, developer of Animis. If you just want simple horizontal stripes, that can be done relatively easy, though if you want to have the stripes react to your movement and as part of your fluff, then you would need Animis, yee.

There's no simple way of doing it, because Stripes is a member of a different species.

The only way that I know of has a bit of a learning curve, even for me.
There's a mod called Animis by Lonaasan, which could allow you to re-skin your specific character in any way you like; the instructions are all on the mod's page.

FWIW, her dialogue is not intended to be at all 'flirty'.

No lol she just makes me uncomfortable. I didn't know she was in this mod when I installed it and didn't know she'd act so... the way she acts when I accepted her to my crew. ("Can we go to bed" and other flirty dialogue). just not for me lol

You can do with her all the same things you can with any other crewmember, it's all up to you. Why though, did she do something wrong? :(

Higher-tier Neki Claws (T4 and up) cause bleeding on mobs; since vanilla Starbound does not have a 'blood' liquid, I used the closest thing that it has, which is slime. Stripes uses a high-tier variant of said claws, which also causes enemies to bleed, and that is what you are probably seeing :)

is Stripes supposed to turn enemies into slime? even humanoid enemies turn to slime when she's done with them.

I accidentally hit Alt and saw her tail flash on top of the building, I was not looking up there at all. XD

Thank you both. I was running around for half an hour trying find her, I read somewhere about spotting her peaking out, but I never saw her so I wondered if it was because the overhaul. I'll make sure look a little closer this time. XD

I made sure she appears in Anom's outpost as well, and even included a few hiding spots for her that only Anom's outpost has :)
You can either play hide and seek with her (takes a few minutes), or hope for her to beam in as a visitor (may take hours), whichever you prefer.

From my own experience i found her hiding on the Tech vendor area. Where you first get the tutorial for the morph ball. She hides around the outpost and you can see her little tail peeking out. I dont know if she goes out on the open though.

It can. I have that mod and she still shows up. At least for me.

Well, I couldn't find any mod to add the color I wanted on any website or google, so I learned how to do it myself. Wahoo.

A 'goblin mod', that's been brought up before. Ask around, it already exists :)
Other than that, I intentionally avoided using any unnatural skin/fur tones in the mod, because while hair ('fluff', 'mane', etc.) can reasonably be dyed, having an unnatural skin tone just isn't canon for the Neki, I'm sorry.

I accidentally gave up the task of finding stripes at the outpost. Can I redo this task?

Accidentally left outpost without fully recruiting Stripes the first time I saw them. Will they eventually respawn or have I lost them completely?

The Engineer and Mechanic should be fairly self-explanatory.
The Murrauder and Purrowler are a sniper and melee respectively.
All of them, however, have a bit of a... feline touch :)
Stripes is a more unique crewmember, and has a slightly more detailed personality.

As for FU - my FU patch ( NekiFU ) does not affect any of the NPCs in any way, and unless FU alters the basic NPC configurations, which the above NPCs partially rely on - they shouldn't be any different. I'm not an expert on FU though, so it's probably best to ask the authors about this.

Sorry if this is already in the mod’s description and I skimmed over it, but what exactly do all of the unique Neki crew members do? And are there any differences to what they do if FU is also installed?

I've been testing the mod extensively with Wardrobe Interface just prior to my last update, since I've added and re-ordered a lot of items in it, and I don't recall having any issues like that.
Try to remove all other mods, then add them back a few at a time to see when it starts happening - that way you should be able to figure out what causes it :)

Prolly my end with something idk,
but I made a new Neki character today after not touching this game for a hot minute,
and I went to open Wardrobe, and the game freezes for a second, then just out right closes with no msg. no clue which end is the issue, this or wardrobe.
Any ideas what could be cause this?
