The earth worm is a tunnelling rover, it is very efficient at getting to the ore node, mining a good amount and getting back out. For the most part the vehicle doesn't get damaged but the occasional bumps is possible and therefore regular maintenance is recommended.

The pros:
- Very efficient and useful miner
- Resilient to damage and can be rolled without issue
- Can be made in the early game
- Doesn't need to fly
- Very power and fuel efficient

The cons:
- High PCU[7000] cost (it needs lots of gyroscopes)
- Requires ice / hydrogen
- Doesn't fly
- Requires a medium amount of materials to build
- May need minor repairs occasionally
