CS:GO was honestly my peak gaming experience — the operations, the classic ranks like DMG and LE… everything just felt perfect back then. CS2 still has that core gameplay we love, but a lot of the changes feel pretty weird.

They removed the old rank system and replaced it with points, which doesn’t hit the same at all. Operations are gone too, and now we just get an “Armory Pass,” which really doesn’t come close to the hype and content ops used to bring. Add in endless cases, charms, and other stuff, and it really starts to feel more like a money grab than an upgrade.

Don’t get me wrong — CS2 can still be fun. The gunplay is solid and the game can look great. But matchmaking seriously needs a huge fix. Cheaters, griefers… it’s like some things never change, and it definitely holds the game back.

CS2 isn’t bad — but in my opinion, it doesn’t reach that peak CS:GO level many of us remember.
