The devs communicate trought their Twitter occasiaonally in the game's official Discord, also they have some extra info on their old IndieDB page for the game. So to get to know most of the planned stuff you have to explore around the Internet, basically (most old stuff is still planned to come out)

Also the next update should come out this month, and the devs will announce the exact relase date tomorrow in a News post (where they'll also talk about what it contains and other stuff planned for the future).

Bots will be re-added, they removed them because they were too dumb and unpresentable foragame that is geting close to its first full version, so they're improving them before adding them back.
