Stop the hate

The Left4Dead 2 Petition is a group of people who would like to make a petition regarding Valves upcoming game Left4Dead 2, to be released on November 17th, 2009.

This is not a boycott of any kind, boycotting something that hasn't even been released is silly, so is any boycott of a boycott that might follow.

This is a petition trying to achieve some kind of mid-term that we can all agree on (both pro-L4D2 and anti-L4D2 people)

WE RECOGNIZE:

- Valve is a company, not a charity foundation. Valve releasing free DLC is a privilege to us, not a right.

- Valve already kept its promise of DLC (Survival Pack), but that considering half of that was adding content that was missing from the original game (2 versus campaigns) they should release a bit more.

- Left4Dead 2 has enough content to be a new game and is too big to be DLC.

- Left4Dead was and still is a very popular game that shouldn't be discontinued just yet.

- Some people who work at Valve have hinted at more DLC for L4D.

WE BELIEVE:

- The release of Left 4 Dead 2 as a stand-alone sequel will split the community.

- Left4Dead as a game still has potential by itself and shouldn't be abandoned just yet.

WE REQUEST:

- That Valve releases one more DLC for Left4Dead containing at least some new monsters, weapons and campaigns.

- That if Valve already has more DLC planned, that they make it public as soon as possible in order to prevent more chaos among the community.

- That Left4Dead 2 is made to be an expansion instead of a separate game, so that people who don't own Left4Dead 2 can still play with those who do.

- That Left4Dead 2 is cheaper for those who already own Left4Dead, making it completely replace Left4Dead on Steam once it is installed. (provided that all the content from L4D is included in L4D2)
