I used to live on an Air Force base...... Wanna talk about LOUD? I lived several miles from the runway, but, the F106's sitting at the end of the runway, running their engines up to full throttle, and kicking in the afterburner, and sitting there for 30 seconds or so...... The whole house would shake.... I was actually surprised I still had glass in the windows. :D
any thought something exploded last time.

Weirdly enough, I live not far from a small regional airport and I rarely hear the commuter jets flying in and out.
Lately tbh though (maybe enough people complained) they've been flying a bit higher so it's not -quite- as loud as it was once
It's almost like you can hear them coming from 2 miles away lol
I don't see them having "stealth" in a Pacific War.
