punch a hole in a tree

i realized i need to get stronger so ive taken up learning frog style kung fu and my master said my first step towards the technique is being able to punch a hole into a tree .
why am i learning this? well its not that im anti gun and that im not afraid to defend myself but i have honor and by principles that frog style kung fu tells me to uphold.
When i master this art i will be the greatest martial artist on the entire planet, and im going to go back to the bar near my house and win every fight ever.!!

If the first step to becoming stronger and more honorable is attacking nature, I'd question your master's values.

Hes obviously legit I already paid him and everything to start teaching me tomorrow.
