I have 20 hours in this game and I'm still on Chapter 1 out of 12.

[Edit] After about 20 more hours I'm on chapter 5. This game is long. There is a LOT of content which should surprise no one if you've played the prior games. At first I looked at this game as an obstacle to overcome on my journey through the RRG franchise. A small hurdle on my way back to the JUICE. I didn't realize I was already playing the juice. What a juicy game.

I've played «Yakuza», and it seems «Ryu Ga Gotoku» use the same mechanics in the most of their games: you need to beat street thugs, make friends, play darts and mahjong.

This one is not an exception. So, guys found their golden recipe and just follow it over and over again. And I have to say it's not bad because they really put effort into this every time: stories are great, characters feel real and alive, a lot of activities in the city and hours of content.

I'd say I liked «Judgment» more that «Yakuza» because the protagonist here is a private investigator and ex-lawyer. not a (former) yakuza member (but still a lot of connections with criminal in the game). Spent 100+ hours here without any regrets.

I never thought I’d enjoy a Yakuza-style game. The series always seemed a bit too goofy for me, and I’d never really played a combo-based combat game before. But I picked up Judgment because I heard it was a bit more gritty and detective-based, and wow, it delivered way more than I thought, super impressed.

The story feels like something that could easily pass as a TV show or movie!! It grips you early on and makes you genuinely care about the characters. The fight scenes are just super awesome, well choreographed, and Yagami has quickly become one of my favorite protagonists ever.

Combat-wise, I spent the first 40 hours mashing random buttons since it was my first time with this. But after a while I learned how to do proper combos and it was great, even if things got clunky. Also the side content is amazing in this, each side mission has well put stories even if they don't make sense, I love that.

Now for the negatives, though there aren't many Pretty sure everyone agrees with this, I found the tailing missions hella boring. The graphics also show their age (low-res textures), with some noticeable shortcuts, but yeah I get it since RGG releases games every year. My biggest frustration was how some side cases and friendships needed me to learn gambling and confusing table games with literally 30 PAGES OF TUTORIALS, which made me drop the last few side quests since I just didn’t want to deal with them.

But honestly, those issues don’t overshadow how great the overall experience was. Judgment is one of the best games I’ve ever played, and I’m glad I gave it a chance.
