📖 Review:

I really love the music in this game, but the gameplay can get boring. It feels like the developers spent more time creating the soundtrack and less time on the actual game. The graphics look good, no question. The variety of weapons is nice, but some of them are completely useless for me.

You have to get used to the rhythmic gameplay, and it can be exhausting. Once you get the beat, it feels good, but it can quickly pull you out of the vibe when you keep doing the same thing over and over. The map structure also looks the same all the time. Two areas full of mobs and then a mini boss. One map means one new weapon and one new enemy type, heavily inspired by Doom. The story is nothing special, very basic, but the voice actor between the levels is excellent.

Playtime: 4 hours (Not 100 percent achievements)

🔥 Overall Impression:
The publisher shut down the studio that created this game, which is very sad. I think their next game could have been great, but until then try this one if it is on sale.

Simply peak. Very strong execution of two genre that can difficutly work together. Decent story that serve the game well, GREAT SOUNDTRACK with some great collabs. However, their is a lack in variety for the boss fight and the customisation of your character. I hope this game receive a sequel to expend on the concept.

Metal: Hellsinger is a great concept with a sadly weak execution.
I really wanted to love this game, but it falls short in too many areas.

The core feeling of playing is great, and the general aesthetics are cool, but that's mostly where the good stuff ends.

• Music Variety is Lacking: Metal is a huge umbrella genre, but almost all the songs here sound samey. They should have used more sub-genres to keep things fresh.
  
• Awful Boss Design: This is the biggest let-down. Every single main boss (except the last one) is a visual copy/paste of the previous one, just in a different area. They don't feel rhythmic at all—it's mostly just a repetitive bullet hell. The constant "invincible" phases also completely ruin the flow of the fight. Boss fights should be the peak, not the lowest point of the game.
  
• Short & Repetitive Levels: The game is very short and super linear. It's the same simple pattern: enter a room, kill a wave, go to the next room, repeat. It gets boring really fast.
  
• Broken Flow & Stuck Enemies: The enemy spawns often feel delayed or awkward, which breaks your high fury multiplier. It’s even worse when an enemy gets stuck somewhere and you have to hunt it down.
  
• Sigil Secrets Break the Rhythm: Finding the Sigils doesn't fit a rhythmic game. You have to stop fighting, pull out the skull, and shoot the air to maintain your Fury, which feels stupid and breaks the immersion.
  
• Boring Story: I tried to follow the story and the cutscenes but they were not interesting at all. I ended up skipping all of them.
