To be honest I don't really like that name either, they both seem lazily came up with.

Is that really all you're concerned with though, the name of a race? The race could be named ♥♥♥♥-stick for all I care as long as it looks good and works well, that's all that really matters.

I haven't written everything I didn't like about this mod because I was tired and wanted to go to bed but heres a summed up list:
-Weeaboos, disgusting.
-Furries, even more disgusting.
-A cat race, there didn't need to be one.
-Doesn't make sense, why cats? How cats?
-Cats are already in the game as pets.
I'd be happy to elaborate on these too if you wish.

Okay, so you don't like mod because 'weeaboos' and 'furries'. Okay, that's a stupid reason in my opinion but whatever. Second of all, a cat race doesn't make sense? Just like Don Taco said, We have an ape/monkey race, a plant race, and an bird race. So what about those? Don't like those either?
And so what if cats are already pets?
This may be a weak example (but probably not) but in Elder Scrolls there is a cat race, and then they have cats as pets.

Apex, already a word - describes their backstory in one word. Glitch, also already a word - same as Apex. With Floran and Avian however, they took existing words and either added on to them or changed some of the word completely. This is a problem in my opinion.

One, most weeaboos and furries are usually annoying or cringy. Two, refer to the next point. Three, different game series, Starbound doesn't seem like a game that would have a cat race.

why all the hate? this is the best race mod out there, and i'm not talking about preferences, the only race mod that could compete with the felins is the viera, but the mod is not finished yet, if cat people anoy you I have bad news, there are bird people, monkey people, and the worst of all (following your arguments) fish people based on japanese culture.
