As of the most recent update, this mod seems to crash the game. According to the game's logs, vanilla race ship parts are being defined twice. Besides the possibility that there's duplicate items being made, I'm not quite sure why this is happening, but the game appears to run just fine when this mod isn't installed. A change in the latest update probably caused this.

Can you write down the error log so that we can know the cause?

Unfortunately I can't paste all of it due to the 18000 character limit on discussion posts, but the errors all point towards "object (object name) defined twice, second time from /objects/space/shipdecorationparts/" and the file directory goes onwards to different vanilla species' ship parts. For example, "[09:54:21.329] [Error] Object mtnovakidshipcomms defined twice, second time from /objects/space/shipdecorationparts/novakid/novakid_comms_array/mtnovakidshipcomms.object"
The log's errors end with "[09:54:27.621] [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (ItemException) Duplicate item name 'mtavianship1' found", at which point the game proceeds to shut itself off.

Non-crash issue, however:
The Avali ship does not appear to to generate a floor in the inactive ship state.This also applies to when you reboot your SAIL, though if you place a floor of blocks yourself you can get the teleporter and captain's chair to successfully generate afterwards.

Doing some more experimenting with it and found out the following so far:

In the Tier 0 ship
The Inset Panels (both foreground and background) do not spawn.
The Hazard Tile on Inset Panel (both foreground and background blocks) do not spawn.
The teleporter and pet charging station do not spawn, but likely because of a lack of floor.
The Captain's Chair tile does not spawn, and the background tile behind its spawn tile creates an invisible, indestructible background tile.

In the Tier 1 ship (SAIL has been booted up):
The above listed Inset Panels and Hazard Tiles do not spawn, same as before.
The pet charging station does not spawn, strangely. (This one may be fault of another mod)
The Captain's Chair successfully spawned, though the invisible background tile annoyingly persists.
All ship objects are indestructible. (Again may be fault of other mods, however the Everis ship functions normally for some reason.)

Nevermind, looks like it was a mod conflict on my end.

Most likely, it was something to do with one of the mods for the other BYOS mod I used before finding this one. Issue resolved, at least for now!

playing vulpes race with this mod results in a error saying "client ship world has errored" every time i try to start a game with a new vulpes character
