Console Variable not changing
Hi,
I was hoping to reach the developer for a helping hand with a console variable not firing.

The console variable mu_bystandername_words does not change when I use the below console command when properly logged into the rcon console.

rcon mu_bystandername_words 2

This is an attempt to make the players have a first and last name, which was very popular on my previous server.

I've performed this command on previously hosted murder servers. Just doesn't seem to fire anymore. I've tried with pretty much every other command stated in the commands.txt file and most of them work or atleast say they are commands.

Is there a new way to run this command? is it not able to be run through the console anymore?

Please let me know, i know this sounds minimal to gameplay but it makes my server so much nicer.

I would like to add, when i perform that command through the server console, it also doesn't fire, just shows a blank line in the console screen.

The convar hasn't changed. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.

Thanks for getting back to me, yeah just doesn't fire, not sure why...

Am i doing it wrong? I'm opening my ingame console and typing "rcon mu_bystandername_words 2" without the quotes. And if that doesn't work i'm opening up my server console and typing the exact same.

I get a blank line with no words as a result, no errors either, not in the log or anything, using the latest version of murder and gmod server too.

If you put "mu_bystandername_words 2" into your server console, does it work?

The console says the command exists only when using rcon.

One question, since i just moved hosts, i used their preinstalled version of murder, and it seems to be version 20! Did version 20 have this command? My old server had version 23. I suspect this could be a big part of the issue. But it's strange that the old server on version 23 doesn't allow me to change it either.
