Yes but schizophrenia is an compound word. "Schizo-" is a root word, a combining form. We can use Schizo in many different ways, there are several other words that use the root Schizo- in them, other than schizophrenia.

In this case its use makes sense, more sense than psycho- at the very least.

I personally find it endearing, I made this mod for me after all, and if others want to use it then they can too.

For me, both prescriptivist and descriptivist attitudes are provisional, and there is a time and a place to be prescriptive and descriptive.

I think a totally different play on words might be suitable. Something with "system" or "multiple" in it. Since schizophrenia is actually a totally different thing...
BTW you might want to research language prescriptivism vs descriptivism. Might be interesting for you.

Thanks candum, I appreciate your thoughts, I also believe that words and labels are useful, but I believe they are provisional.

I like having it turned back into schizo. Works for me, the primary logic of which I find quite sound.

Although, I find I disagree with the rest... I do like the concept of labels.
Words help define, explain, give substance to, and therefore can allow for acceptance and understanding thereof/therein. Foul placed segregation of it feels like it's doing the same thing that you're suggesting it does/should not be doing.
Through the very precept of naming something to define it is to label it for categorization. To place it on a spectrum or a gamut of a spectrum to help give reference to it, in order to allow for better understanding/comprehension of it.

But that's just like, my opinion, & how I see things. I get what ya mean, but I thought you might, at least, like this little read to some degree or another. Regardless, thanks for the name change back to what actually makes sense.

I'm a lot more upset about your usage of the term "yee yee" than anything about the DSM or mental disorders. It doesn't mean whatever you think it means, unless you're implying that rednecks are the ones mad about mis-categorizing an illness, in which case you're double dumb because I can assure you that Florida Georgia Line enthusiasts are not lobbying the devs of an indie VS clone to change the name of a character class.

i understand, i just choose to not worry about whether the word has a hyphen or not. i dont believe this grammatical differentiation is a big deal. from my point of view, the compound words schizo-possessed and schizo possessed mean the same thing, and you can tell what they mean because of the context, and i dont see any good reason to be particular about it, and i dont see any good reason to be upset over such particularities, being upset over those things to me seems very silly. but if you think i should change it to schizo-possessed, i dont have a problem doing that. just ask

You know schizo as itself doesn't mean split, it means of a person or behavior related to schizophrenia? If it was "Schizopossed" you would be correct, but that is not the case here. Schizo as a combining form means divided or split like you said, but it isn't being used as a combining form here.

Either way this is entirely idiotic.
