ok i now figured out why my stopmotion maker is broken i cant make keyframes normal on ragdolls but i can only make keyframes on ragdolls if i selected the ragdoll with my ragdoll mover tool

In the Ragdoll Mover page, I’ll make a discussion post to help troubleshoot this “ragdoll mover working half the time” issue :steamthumbsup:

It sounds like an addon conflict to me, but I can’t assume that without more info

ragdoll mover works only half the time. ive had no problems with stop motion.

i cant use the ragdoll mover on the ragdolls nor i cant use the stopmotion animator on the ragdolls the props worked alright so i dont know what happened

I also want to mention that my version stems from a work-in-progress version [github.com] of Stop Motion Helper (SMH) that made some breaking changes to keyframes. Workshop SMH can’t use the saves from that one, and from extension, workshop SMH cannot load saves from my version. Hence, I wanted to keep my version self-contained from the workshop as there would be plenty of issues related to compatibility that doesn’t need to be discussed here

The source for the “Stop Motion Helper Improved” addon can be found in the Audio/sounds discussion post . I’ve linked to the reply where I mentioned “my fork” as the source code for that addon. There’s installation instructions there so you can use it immediately

I have asked the person who uploaded that addon to take it down.

I’ve decided against uploading the addon to the workshop because of multiple reasons. The foremost one is to respect the original roadmap of this addon. Many of the features on my version are already planned, but haven’t been implemented. Whether the features on my fork will be implemented in the official version is up to Penol; nonetheless, the upload policy for my fork is to not reupload it to the workshop as it would add unnecessary competition to this addon, despite the usefulness provided by those new features

To compensate for that, the fork stays on github. That doesn’t mean it’s not available; it’s just not accessible for the common Steam user (as in “finding it in the Steam Workshop” accessible). If you want to share “my fork”, just share the link to it (refer to the Audio/sounds discussion post)

doesn't sound like much. was the animation lasting for a lot of frames too? i don't recall running into issue like that, so all i can suggest is to make backups of your saves from data/smh folder inside gmod, sorry.

would you happen to remember what you were doing when the issue happened? being able to reproduce it on my end could help with finding a fix so that hopefully won't happen again

I was working on an animation that ive been making for about three weeks and all of a sudden an error appeared and somehow one of my saved animations overwrote some of my other saves including the one I was currently working on;

left the server? in the sense of singleplayer one? rather weird that it won't load though onto a ragdoll. would you happen to have the save file?
