"Yes, I've ended up selecting more non-steam games than I first expected, but hey, what can I do? Those were really great games.
And yes, DK Bananza was the only game that actually came out this year. I've really enjoyed it, but not worthy GOTY in my opinion.

Of all these games, I REALLY want to encourage everyone to play the first 2 on the list (TTPII & LM3). I feel they deserve more love/recognition than they get.

Honorable mentions: Baba is You and N++. Both games took me more than a year to actually 100%. Baba because I stopped playing for a long time due to the game having really hard puzzles and I was not in the right mental state to do them and N++ because the game really IS that long XD. Both great games which the devs really deserve lots of praise for their work and creativity."

I believe Super Monkey Ball was harder. It has a lot of hard things to do and some will even feel unfair because the camera doesn't really help in many of those. It also has some annoying mini games on the extra stuff.

Even with no achievements I still went for 100% ingame with these because they were so good haha.
I do agree with you, Tropical Freeze is a fantastic game.
Talos II was a huge improvement on the first IMO. And the story and characters alone made it my personal GOTY. The puzzles do have a huge difficulty spike on the DLC's (and some people think they're repetitive) so be aware of that.

As a Nintendo fanboy, I really liked the list, but since there are no achievements there, they end up not showing up in my highlights.
Tropical Freeze, for me, is one of the best 2D platformers that exists.
I wasn’t interested in Talos II because I got saturated with the puzzles from the first game, but I’ll take a closer look at this new one."
