Nice. I will add this to guide. Still I dont have trouble and my option work well with other games. So I dont know what to say.
I tried several games with EAX, such as F.E.A.R., DOOM 3, QUAKE 4, and GTA 3.
What I ended up doing was downloading another version of ALchemy and following a guide I found on Condemned: Criminal Origins (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2487107657) . It detected EAX and I was able to play. There are also bugs in F.E.A.R. if you play with dubbing (Spanish, French, Italian), which I fixed by downloading a patch for the game.
I don't know what to say. It worked fine for me in Quake 4 and Prey 2006 and installed the same way as for Doom 3.
Are you only having problems with Quake 4, or do you have the same problem with other EAX games?
Idk all woks fine. Its just alchemy but it modded for any soundcard from pcgamingwiki.

In Russia old crt-monitor cost 5-10$
Buying a fully recapped and all that other fun stuff crt will probably run you 500+ considering some junk crts sell for 250 or more.
