@Hassat: Exactly that. And the sameh as happened before with Anonymous Fux for example. They wanted him gone for a long time so he got banned for "advertising cheats" when he posted an imgur link on how to decrease mouse sensitivity using CE.

Why not just admit they wanted me gone. I could care less. Atleast that would be hones because these madeup excuses just really make it worse.t

@Baum: Sure there are lot or strange people on TVM. The thing is there are some pretty good examples on mods acting up and going completely crazy as well. Same goes for the hypocrisy of stuff like letting a mod get away when admitting using a dlc/skin unlocker because "He's a mod he would be unbanned anyway so why punish him at all"

Can't say a lot about your ban because neither did I issue it nor was I involved in any discussion regarding it. I'm too busy to deal with bans others have issued and not too interested in participating in the moderator discord.

So quick discussion later it turns out I was banned for basically being a douchebag and everyone at OVK hating me, and a substantial part of the modsquad (allegedly). So... why not just state on my ban I was banned for being a douchebag and the whole company wanted me gone? Why do the lie and go "oh it was your mod" and when asking for more info suddenly there's this entirely other reason entirely for it. Just say that then if that's the reason?

Same here, if it's for past stuff, why not point those out rather than making out this was offensive and when called out go 'yeah, it wasn't for this after all'?

Nah, it does sound a LOT like my own situation. I get banned for "that mod", but when asked it quickly turns to 'we wanted to ban you a for a long time'... so, you basically where waiting for a scapegoat to pin it on? Apparently complaints from some staff. What staff? Can't name names. Then it turns out that all of OVK bar Sebastian wanted me gone. Also apparently several moderators. Got pretty much all of you on my friendslist and haven't noticed any hatred heretowards so that seemed like a load of balony, of course no names. but the list kept on growing. My attitude (no examples), the way I reported (no examples), attacking ovk staff (no examples), being offensive to people (no examples).

I think a lot of people on TVM would disagree on anything we say. I'm not saying no one in the moderation team is perfect, we surely made mistake. But the thing with moderation and its quality is that it's highly subjective. You can't please anyone, and specifically not those who were banned...

I would argue that we got better at what we are doing and more professional as the time moved on though. Hard for me to say a lot about decisions of moderators that are older than one and a half year since I just joined the crew at that time

I am not aware of any ban that was issued based on personal discrepancies, I certainly wouldn't do it and given I know a lot of the moderators for quite some time now I don't think any of them would, either.

So it's an instance of "we *say* you get banned for your mod, but in reality it's because Overkill hates you and you only find out if pestering the devs and mods in PM" situation?

Yes it's going in circles and my point still stands: There was nothing to consider about a ban because a ban is unjustified because there is no bannable offense here! I could have been reasonablebly banned for some post but this clearly isn't one of them.

This is going in circles and I would just repeat myself, thus I'm abandoning a discussion I wasn't even involved with in the first place.

The post solely did not lead to the ban, it's also the other incidents that were considered when the ban was issued as fas as I can tell.
