Amazing game so far, please play this and support developers that clearly care about their product and genre.

I want to like the game, I really do. I enjoy most of the gameplay aspects. *Most*.
The core gameplay is as good as ever, hitting stuff feels good, shooting stuff feels good. But that's about the extent to which the game succeeds.
The method of getting gear is incredibly RNG reliant and just feels like Tencent told Fatshark to make it as close to a toxic mobile game as possible. Log in every hour, do your dailies, keep getting disappointed but still going back because what if you miss out on the weapon you want actually getting into the shop?
The costumes are also a big downfall, they have so much more work put into them than the recolors you can get normally, but of course they cost IRL money. Can't have people working to earn something cool, make it so they're forced to buy it.

A lot of crashes, a lot of bugs. Did I mention the crashes? It's uncommon to have a game where someone doesn't get kicked out of the game due to a random crash. Oh and if you can't get back in, you'll have just wasted 20 minutes of your time because you get 0 rewards then.

Fatshark themselves also are pretty awful for some reason, a lot of broken and empty promises, a lot of really terrible decisions. The PR team clearly doesn't interact with the rest of the team, and it might be the same for others. They somehow have maps going up late, bug fixes somehow causing more bugs, weapon adjustments that are literally just changing numbers in a text file "falling through the cracks" (how does this even happen? it's incredibly unprofessional if you can't even properly change a weapon's damage).

Overall just an extremely disappointing experience. I would say you should try the game a year or two down the line once the devs get their act together, because for some reason it takes them that long to make a complete game. Vermintide 1 was this way, Vermintide 2 was this way, Darktide will be this way, and whatever game they make next will release as an absolute buggy, unfinished mess. They'll write it off as being a "live service game" as if that's an excuse, just like they're doing with this one.

I sincerely hope this rating on this game continues to drop lower and lower until Fatshark realizes how bad they're being with the handling of this game, but Tencent's money will smell too sweet for them to care.
