**– New Player Experience (20 Hours) –**

**Pros:**

1. Tarkov is a very addictive, atmospheric, and immersive game. What makes it different from other extraction shooters is that Tarkov has a unique vibe that others don’t have.

2. In Tarkov, you feel like you’re being watched all the time. The maps feel like they are part of a bigger world.

3. The gunfights are extremely intense. Every second you spend in a raid feels scary.

4. Unlike other extraction shooters, your mind always wants to jump into another raid — but the moment you’re actually in the game, you feel like you want to extract as soon as possible. It feels like you’re surviving, not completing missions.

5. The sound effects are insanely good!

6. The graphics are great for a Unity-based game. They have their own unique vibe.

7. The music is great.

8. The gunplay, movement, and overall gameplay are very realistic and hardcore.

9. It has a strong survival feeling.

10. Low-key a horror game with lots of jumpscares.

**Cons:**

1. Even though there are 2 million monthly active players, the matchmaking time is very long. My average matchmaking time is 6–8 minutes.

2. The game is hard to learn. You have to study the maps, routes, and extraction points before jumping into a raid because there is no minimap or GPS. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing — learning the game feels rewarding, and knowledge is power — but for casual players this can be a nightmare.

3. Sometimes the launcher gets errors, and you can get disconnected during raids. The servers aren’t the best.

4. I haven’t met any cheaters personally, but I know cheating is a big problem in this game. Hopefully they fix it soon.

It’s still a great game after 8 years with a few unresolved issues. For me personally, the problems haven’t affected my experience too much so far.

Underated

This game is a work of art. It’s incredibly immersive and gives off strong Godfather vibes. I literally felt like I was living as an Italian mafia member in the USA from 1930 to 1938. The ending gave me goosebumps.
