Guild Wars 2 is an MMO thats all about exploration and freedom. There are so many things to do that it may seem daunting at first but just dive in and do whatever you want, it encourages that style of play and the linear progression of the game play loop means you wont get left behind by other players. I have played a lot of MMOs in my day but this is the one I would recommend above all of them. Also, no monthly sub or premium account options, just a cash shop that is mostly cosmetics and quality of life stuff and not too egregious in my opinion.

The game remains familiar to staples of the genre but still manages to do its own thing and stand out quite a bit. PVP is totally even, everyone fights at the same level, its all about builds an skill. PVE is almost always engaging and evergreen, most zones are not totally empty (even low level areas) because there is always reason to do almost anything even at max level. Combat feel fast and responsive, not nearly as stationary or slow as other games with similar systems. Dodge, weave, jump, and avoid attacks in between casting spells and abilities, most of which can be cast while moving around. Some of the best combat in an MMO.

There are a few pitfalls to this title though, including it being labeled as "Free to Play" when (in my opinion) its more like it has a trial version, you do get the entire base game for free, minus a few features, but the base game is about 10% of the experience at this point. I also take minor issue with some of the tactics used to make you want to buy gems (the game's premium currency,) like filling your inventory with useless items so you are more incentivized to buy bag slots from the gem store, which only apply to one of your characters and inst account wide like the vast amount of unlocks in the game (including currency, mounts, skins, and endgame skill points called 'Masteries') but over all there is nothing too outrageous, this is not a gotcha game. The gem store is kind of a necessary beast without a monthly sub and if you just plain cant stomach cash shops then there isn't much to be done about it.

In the end, I will say this: If you love MMOs or are even passably curious about them then Guild Wars 2 comes highly recommended by this player, it is like a home to me and my partner, playing with friends or loved ones will be an enhancement to your experience. I have played thousands of hours, more than in my steam log as I've been playing since before it was on steam, and I will surly play thousands more. If you are not into this type of game then I don't think Guild Wars 2 will change your mind, but for the audience it was made for, Tyria is a wonderful place, hope to see you there, from Lions Arch to Janthir, and beyond.

If you liked RoboCop: Rogue City and want more of it, then this "stand-alone extension" will sate that. I actually think it does a bit more of that as its a bit more challenging and has a few more mechanics that are very fun to play with from having special animations for killing enemies with the environment and a new weapon in the form of a Cryo-gun that freezes enemies and some barrels filled with nitro glycerin that can be throw or shot for an explosion of ice that is great for crowd control.

The design of this overall is an enhancement to the Rogue City experience. The shootouts are way more fun and challenging this time around, imo, the level design gives a lot more interesting environments and the enemies are more varied and seem more dangerous than the last time we took control of Robo, which is a very welcome addition. One of the new enemies is a Prototype of the katana wielding Otomo robots from RoboCop 3, which is great fan service and world building.

I highly recommend BOTH of the Robocop games by Teyon as they have no business being this good and these games bridge Robocop 2 and 3 perfectly.
