Brilliant puzzler with a very heavy emphasis on it's sci-fi atmosphere. You can really feel trapped in the subnet and the only way out is to use your brain and think on many layers.
Thus even if at the beginning it might seem 2D, it really isn't. It's so much more! I wouldn't even call it 4D.

The 0-degree whooosh makes all your problems go away with a splash.
This game is pure excellence, I can't recommend it enough.

Early Access Review
The best old-school sim I played. Not too simple, not too hard. Even though it's a very early version, you already can have a lot of fun dogfighting and doing strike runs.
The mission planner allows for easy learning by slowly stepping up the challenges (from learning flight and VTOL to solo-tackling multiple SHILKAs/MIGs and ground targets in one go).
And once you're acquainted with the mechanics, move on to the Arena - a campaign variant of the game. Even though currently it's limited to just one simple campaign, it has all you could ask for. And once it gets too simple, you can manually mod the arena description by tweaking an easy-to-read JSON file, adjusting the challenge to your expectations (I highly recommend dropping the number of allied aircraft to allow for more dogfighting and switching the Shou ground units to the variant with a SHILKA).

Beautiful little adventure, peaceful music, stunning art! I really loved playing through this game and I will surely replay it for it's relaxing nature. If you like classic point-and-click logic games, you have got to play this (even though it's also a 2D-ish platformer).

Wonderfull trip back to the good old gaming days.
At the same time a fresh take on the UI (unit building was always a chore - now we have queues), keyboard shortcuts etc. And it *does* look and feel much nicer than the original these days.
I definitely recommend it.

Truly impressive game in both design and excellent humour.
If you're the explorer gamer type, who takes joy from diving into every corridor and trying to find every alternative path the game has to offer, you'll absolutely love this one.
