XSOverlay has had some time to mature now and has improved a lot over the years with consistently active updates. There's a bunch of features I never use, but performance is better for me on my 3070 than the alternatives. the push notifications supported for things like vrcx and vrc.tl are the biggest QoL feature ever for social vr.
Developer support is still solid from what I've seen in discord if you do have issues.

The best steamvr desktop overlay available in 2020.

XSOverlay by Xiexe is the new kid on the block of overlay apps. UX is solid and makes sense, reported bugs are regularly fixed, and customization is beyond what I would ever need.

I recommend XSOverlay and advancedsettings to every VR user. They make a world of difference.
