Needs a warning that it will make you care about IRL horse racing.

I would like to apologise to Party Dash for passing this up on release. This game rules. Get a bunch of friends together and scream about horses.

Not really worth the money. Combat is undercooked and underwhelming, and the RPG elements are very undercooked. Being able to play as different factions is cool, but it doesn't so much as change the ending regardless of what you do.

If you want to play as a generic grunt in a somewhat more simulationist game (RPG elements optional) Target in Sight and Zeonic Front do this much better (assuming you can get used to their controls, at least).
If you want to stomp your way through CE or any other Gundam series, pretty much any other Gundam action game released in the past ten years will give you a better experience.

Honestly the best Fortnite spinoff I've ever played.

Edit: I've bought a Miku controller. It's all over.

Chinese gamers are not ready for this 300 ping Australian.

Edit: With the Singapore server I can play the game without feeling like I'm connecting to a server on the moon, technology is amazing

As a warning, this game is not going to be for most people reading this. The game is old, its backend is ancient, and its online functionality would have been considered outdated 15 years ago. And no, there's no rollback. This is a game that you are either going to be playing with mates locally or not at all. I understand this is going to be a dealbreaker for most people, and I get it.

That said, I love Yatagarasu, and it getting an update out of the blue something like ten years after its original English launch is nothing short of a dream for me. This is easily one of my favorite fighting games, hands down. The game is heavily inspired by Third Strike and pulls from two decades of competitive knowledge to create something that plays absolutely magnificently. If you're a fan of 3s, you are going to feel right at home here. The changes to the game for this version are, admittedly, relatively small--3 new characters, a handful of stages, and balance and move adjustments and additions for the whole cast. Pretty standard incremental revision stuff, the kind that the genre has been getting since the early days. What really sells this version for me is that it runs on the Steam Deck without much effort, unlike the original version, which means that I've got an easy and portable Yata setup for locals, which I could not be happier about.

I can't recommend this game for everyone, but if you're a fan of 3s and you've got buddies or a local scene to play with, you need to pick this up.
