This is a waste of money, developers keep removing content from the game, this game has almost no replayability, lots of content from previous versions has been cut, they still keep cutting content, who knows when will they stop cutting already existing content to the game.

The Game is a Tech Demo, currently the game is unplayable causing players to randomly disconnect at random times, from a few seconds to several minutes, it is unplayable to the point that unless you're persistent to fight through the disconnects, and game crashes, to keep connecting to the same server, and watching your teammates get disconnected, you might come to the end of a match with little to no resistance,

Now getting that out of the way, in the graphical aspect of the game, it is an improvement compared to ArmA 3, from the small details that the visual brings, LIGHTS NO LONGER GO THROUGH OBJECTS!!!, the inside of houses being dark or dependent on their own light sources, to the handling of the driving which is a huge improvement on the game, how shadows get rendered even at long distances, although small change, plays a huge part in the dynamics of combat in the game, capable of hiding yourself within it, putting you out of sight from others.

You better know how to read and find yourself on the map, as there's no markers for players nor for yourself, having to rely to visualize your surroundings and find it on the map in order to locate yourself, adds a difficulty for newcomers to Arma, as some previous ArmA players might already be familiar with it.

Communication is key, with the added proximity chat and radio frequencies, making it much more easier to coordinate with friends and strangers in the match, it's a good added touch instead of having to rely on 3rd party software and the community to come with a fix for it.

There's a supposed new destructible environment tech in the engine, although you might have heard of it from others, currently there's none whatsoever, you cannot destroy much, such as buildings, walls, or the sort, similar to the previous arma titles, although buildings won't collapse.

The game is basically a more simple version and faster paced Squad, if we're to compare it with other games, with AI that are dumber and more simplified than those from ArmA 3, although much more responsive, unreliable.

It is a simple game nowhere close to the monster that previous ArmA titles have been, but it does show promise in its own way, as its own kind of game, a casual one, I wonder what a full match from start to finish would be, sadly, the game currently does not permit it, and for the kind of thing that it is, the price tag is too high for what this game offers, specially right now that it's unplayable.

Currently, I do not recommend it primarily because of the constant random disconnects that the game is suffering, once IF fixed, maybe it would be a recommendable title.

When I was child, my father bought a computer for our house, the first program to be installed was this game, I am having nostalgic feelings of hating this game for the population cap of 85 that I used to have because I didn't know how to edit the settings in the options menu, another thing that I didn't like either was that all the factions shared the same kind of units, except for a few extras achieved through technologies and castles, not enough for me, When I heard this game was getting re released through steam I got excited and finally bought it hoping for the community to provide a far wider selection of units unique to their faction, sadly no mod as such can be found in the internet.

Depleted my gold deposits and panicked, massacred civilizations for their gold deposits, 10/10 made me a greedy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
