I’ve been playing military multiplayer first person shooter games since 1995 and the one constant negative over the years has been the other players. The genre attracts young males (as I was once) who are either actual children or mental children, and the programmers develop these games specifically for them. Thus, in “Battlefield 1”, for instance, a score of 22 kills and 50 deaths, tops a score of 21 kills and 0 deaths. I have moved on to “Squad”. But I long for the days of “Fireteam” when once you “died”, you stayed “dead” until the game was over. All of the games I’ve played would benefit from an “adult” mode.
