I had fun playing when the game came out, but even then it was unacceptable that it wasn't properly optimized.
Now I come back and the game is barely playable?
Well, *I have words from others.*

Fix the game and I'll fix my score. We love Monhun. Make the game playable for EVERYONE.

I played less than an hour and I was amazed at the graphics (minus the characters, characters were lazily animated), but I was bored at the fact you primarily race against the clock. I watched videos of different game modes and I don't think I'll keep playing this. Total eye candy, but I don't find this engaging enough.

After playing the game for a few in-game days I was so excited by the premise I gifted my wife a copy of the game. You can tell the game is made with so much love, It is not fair to call this game a Pokémon/Stardew Valley hybrid, as it is clearly its own thing.

I had a huge problem with my PC and Steam Deck files - I played for hours on my PC and then wanted to play on my deck and even though the files appeared as updated on the cloud, I lost 4 days worth of progress. This happened in two different instances. For someone who has limited time (and has been this invested in the game) this is a huge disservice. I tried rolling back my save files and nothing.

This is horrible, but you know what's worse? The first time I lost my progress I lost access to the potion-making station, and because concoctions are so hard to find, my second time playing that save file it took me 5 days to get another concoction I could sell to unlock the station. Now I lost my save file *AGAIN* and who knows when I'll find a concoction again.

Other problems I have with the game that make no sense in my opinion:
- You can't use monster taming items on a dazed monster. This makes taming monsters unnecessarily more difficult. It's weakened. Why can't I tame it? Why is there no such item for dazed-taming?
- You can accidentally use a fertilizer infinite times on the same spot, spending your fertilizer unnecessarily if you're spamming.
- Accessing the monsters takes way too many clicks. There isn't a menu to heal monsters?
- Healing a monster takes several items, and you cannot heal if your monster is dazed.
- When trying to upgrade a card, there isn't an option to "upgrade again" if there are several upgrade items you can use.
- Forging takes 3 ore but you can't stack several ores to continue forging.

I'll finish this with something everyone is saying: The barn is *TOO DARN EXPENSIVE* to upgrade and use. There are so many requirements to be able to freely catch spirits. Level caps? available barn spots? Why gate fun so hard when you can just make it slightly more accessible to everyone?

Maybe I will revisit this game when I feel like my time has not been wasted. All I can say is I hate concoctions now

Early Access Review
I meant to write "7 years to finish" 3 years ago. IT'S BEEN 10 YEARS. 10.
This is like the opposite of Pokémon Violet and Scarlet.

I really wish the game wasn't as buggy as it is. I've had my office teleported into another house - I had to sell floating items in the house and when I got back to my office it looked like the starter one you get. Some items look all black when they weren't, and sometimes the screen flickers.

If you're willing to risk it, this game is amazing. Engaging and rewarding.

DuckTales: Remastered is a great platformer - true to the original, and tapping into the cartoon nostalgia some of us have for the late 80's. Some people may argue that it has too much story content. I will argue that this is meant to be a remastered version of the game (which did not have as much dialogue, of course) while also being something similar to an episode from the old show.
The good:
- Hand drawn sprites
- Excellent music (so catchy!)
- Almost all the voice actors from the cartoon are here (Alan Young, the legend, recorded the voice of McDuck before passing away)

The bad:
- No skip cutscene button
- Not much to do after beating the game
- It's a really short game

The ugly:
- Nasty glitch near end game crashes your game (I did not have this experience!)
- In few very instances the level design is horrible - most of the times the invincibility item is too short and nearly useless, even as far as being cancelled by a cutscene!

I'd say get this if it's on sale. It's a lot of fun even if you never watched the 80's cartoons.

Got this game from the DYA Games bundle currently on discount. I beat the space ship game and I started playing this with my wife. This is a great game to play with friends, and it's challenging but not impossible. I only wish they would explain a bit more what the items and collectibles do, but you can learn as you go.Get it!

I just realized Spelunky 2 is coming out, but hear me out:This game (Spelunky) never gets old. You can play it for like 30 minutes and finish a run or play it for hours and get hooked in. This is a great game to play while streaming too!

Superhot is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!

Now that we got that out of the way: the game is too short. Sure, it has some add ons and I was actually interested in reading the chat conversations. Endless mode doesn't exactly satiate my hunger for more.

Right now it's on discount. I would absolutely recommend you to try this. I'm looking forward to trying the next installment.
