It's like Sunset Riders, but worse. The pixel art and music are fine enough, but it's can't make up for controls that are somehow twitchy and sluggish at the same time, hitboxes that don't work half the time, bugged level scrolling that makes you go back to the center of the screen for it to work (sometimes), and boring bosses + level design.

I beat it in less than an hour and will probably never play it again. Don't buy for full price unless you really like pixel art boobs and ♥♥♥♥ jokes mixed with 80's movie references for bosses.

I don't really like racing games and I like this.

Core Gameplay is good. Basically what you hoped 3D Sonic games would be. Sense of speed is great. Sometimes hard to gauge how a landing will be scored.
Rogue-like elements are okay. Items aren't too exciting, but made some fun/broken combos on some runs.
I skipped the story whenever I could because you run fast who cares.
Music had a few tracks that matched the vibe well.
Bosses suck and are not that fun. Repeat a few times. The snake hit box was wildly inconsistent.

Overall I'd say it's worth the price of admission.

I was able to play with wild performance inconsistencies up until I got to Jedha. It was not a great experience, but mostly playable. Now when I load the game it hard locks my PC and requires a reboot. Literally unplayable. Don't buy.

It scratched that MechWarrior 2 and 3 itch for me

A great Mega Man X alternative. Think the Zero modes from those games. If you like that, you'll like Gravity Circuit. Hope they make a sequel!

Works good on Steam Deck

Sometimes there is so much gore on screen that I have a hard time telling what enemies are alive or already dead.
