i don't hate them and i always buy stuff second hand with them because of the price, but the quality of their hardware (not speaking about perks, just straight up durability bcs 2 of my brand new switchs 1 broke blue screen and other) with their scummy practices just straight up broke me.
i cannot, in good faith, buy nintendo hardware if i have no guarantee of it's thrustworthyness, i also cannot approve of the direction they're going throught for their consoles
i find it extremmelly idiotic to limit the switch and switch 2 as handheld consoles that cannot properly function as a livingroom console comfort wise.
I also hate the fact that they've abandonned the nintendo DS as a brand, the thing is a marvel of technology.
also the games are very good and very distinguished, they're one of the only corporations that genuinelly tries to make good games, i hate the fact that they're getting pirated and all that when it's not abandonware but still they're going as hard as possible even on mfking abandonware wth
It will realese in 14 days...
nice choice I would say!
Have fun emulating Nintendo-Games :^)
Definitely have mixed feelings on it. really cant see me shelling out 100 CAD for games plus 30 dollar DLCs. I will probably sell the thing after I play Metroid prime 4. Nintendo is so anti consumer and it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Be quiet Nintendo may be here watching us and takes us to court...
Just got tired of the insane costs of Nintendo games and the fact that even a few years after they come out they are still sitting at £50 - £60.
Plus it seems on the Switch 2, there's like Mario Kart and Donkey Kong and that's about it imo, I could be wrong and there could be more but if there are I don't know of them.
Also my favourite Nintendo games were the Pokemon ones, But it feels like since they pivoted to 3d over sprites, the games have got worse in terms of performance and kinda lost their magic. As well as having to skip so much text.
I've been collecting them since I was a toddler pretty much, back when I got my first console and became a gamer.
And i've owned, and still own every Nintendo & Playstation console in the last 40 years, as well as a couple of SEGA's.
The Switch 2 and the Playstation 5 are the first consoles from both Sony and Nintendo that I never saw the point in owning.
There's practically nothing on them I want to play besides maybe 1 or 2 exclusive games..
Even my Ps4 and Switch 1 libraries are just pathetically small compared to the amount of games I own for all prior Nintendo and Playstation systems.. and that's entirely because of just how few exclusive games of interest are on those systems.
I'd rather take the money I could spend on new consoles and console games and invest it into my PC instead.. it's simply a far better use for it at this point.
PC is just a superior gaming platform with a vastly bigger and more customisable gaming library accessible to it, greater even if you also factor in emulation.
For the first time in my life consoles today just feel.. well worthless and irrelevant.
And that just isn't a good thing when they're also pretty darn expensive to boot.
