There may be a post/request out there for this, but couldn't find one. I just got my son a steam deck for Christmas and he's all set up as I child account, with I as the adult account. However, while the settings allow to force a PIN upon starting/waking up the steam deck, this PIN is tied to the device, not an account.

This is pointless for me, and frankly, for anyone who would desire to share a steam deck with their children (and have steam family accounts set up), as the only logical implementation of a PIN would be for it to be tied to an account. This way, I could have a pin required to sign into my account on the deck, while my son could either have a separate PIN, or no pin at all.

Can we please push up implementing this as a feature of steam family on the steam deck? It seems like an absolute no brainer toe, and yes it is missing.
