Find the FortniteLauncher.exe and add it, unless it's changed.

steam won't launch it, is it working for u

if you bought it with another game client then it probably won't work or if it does you would be using both game clients at the same time. Like for the Sims 4 steam offers it but when you open the game it still requires you to log into Origin or EA Games client. If it needs to run both then you may as well just boot off the original client.
