I remember how the new and improved chat and especially Broadcasting was supposed to tie in well with Dota 2 Reborn... I'm still hoping that these Steam features can really be updated to really work well together, because it definitely feels very disjointed:

1) Sharing a broadcast in a group chat does work-ish, but the formatting is odd in a smaller chat window. Maybe a way to watch a broadcast in-chat would be nice as well.

2a) Steam Chat MOBILE can't request to view friend's games
2b) Steam Chat MOBILE, when attempting to view a broadcast via chat, just opens the browser to an empty account stating that "The Broadcast is Offline". I'm attempting to view my own broadcast in this example.

3) More features and settings with chat overlay being visible whilst playing and streaming games. There's very few settings to work with to make chat visible while gaming without covering important parts of the game, etc

4) Enable Broadcasts to persist streaming even after ctrl+tab to a new window. Currently it doesn't do this and it's a bit jarring if settings need to be changed outside of the game window.

5) Add a button in Steam Overlay or add keyboard shortcut to start a Broadcast. There is one for Game Recordings, but not for Broadcasts.

Might as well add new chat features too:

1) Use Steam Points to send animated reacts in chat

2) Useless but possible fun edition: Use Steam Points to have some sort of streamer-chat interaction, like full screen effects (fireworks, explosion, confetti). Make toggleable in settings.

3) Persistent/Pinned messages, reply system, landing page. Often times should groups want to add rules in a particular chat channel. Currently, no messages are permanently saved (which I honestly think is fine). Maybe make it a particular text channel setting where admins or those with permissions can edit and format the main message, or multiple pinned messages.

4) Better, more robust permissions, banning system. It's very much bare bones at this time.

5) A better gif finder rather in-chat. Keep the random gif finder however.

6) Roles need to have more functionality. Give the potential to have text chat visibility be tied to roles. This could tie in with being potential Broadcast moderators if a group is specifically made for a Steam user.

7) More specific Broadcast audio settings.
-Be able to pick specific programs to record audio from, not just all applications.
