ive been kicked from a few groups for posting this but socom 1,2 etc, etc is back up and running... look up socomcommunity on google. takes 1-2 hours to setup but it works 100%.. cross platform for ps2 and emulators full rooms everynight

Try verifying the cache, if that doesn't work. Maybe delete the maps that failed to download/load. c:>programfiles(86)>steam>steamapps>common>insurgency2>insurgency>maps

servers are up. Just type "socom" in the tags search field in the servers internet tab and they should show up.

Night maps were introduced last night. DG and Crossroads..Crossroads looks great as a night map! Demo will make its return soon. Right now it is just firefight.

THERE IS A SOCOM SOURCE REVIVAL SERVER IN INSURGENCY. HE CHANGED THE GAME MODE TO SKIRMISH. IT RUNS VERY SMOOTH.

I know he needs to protect his intellectual property, (aim, recoil, crosshairs, etc) I don't see why once he gets that taken care of her can't just let us play until his new project is off the ground. I'm going stir crazy.

Did you change it to beta? If not, go to the game in your library, right click>properties>beta tab>change it to beta and let it download automatically. The actual game need to be closed before doing this.
