god i remember this entire debacle and it is still so funny to look back through this and see how amazingly stupid it was. all of you cried because your hat that nobody wanted was only worth 2-3 keys, and you successfully whined and price fixed hard enough to get it up to like 1 bud or more at some point. unbelievable how stupid the tf2 economy was and how it was literally at the mercy of thousands of 13-20 year olds who decided the price of things based on vibes alone. this group is an incredible archive of exactly how that worked. beautiful stuff

I would not take it for gunslinger. People price them as low as 7 keys so try to get 2 for gunslinger or B.M.O.C. and Ebenezer.

Im am being offered a BMOC and a key for my strange gunslinger. I dont care for it much, and totally agree that BMOCs are worth more than what people are putting them for. Not sure if I should take it or wait for better offers. ^^ Please give me advice

Please read it and consider taking me in for one of your captains/4th in command as I have well developed persuading speech skills that might be useful for our success. I might be also able to help by collecting few of low-priced B.M.O.C.'s and keeping them for higher prices. But we will get into that later.

2, I never said that this was a sure thing or not, I simply decided to try boycotting the prices because I felt it needed to be at least tried. If supply and demand and what have you decide that the bmoc and ebenezer no matter what should be worth cheap, then thats that. But I'm trying to make a point that I think it's foolish.

Ofc people aren't as hyper over bmoc and ebenzers as they are over maxes/buds/bills, we are in a confusing time of price changing. No one is certaint what to buy or sell them for. Maxes and buds and bills are pretty solid, so a lot safer.

Stop using outpost as THE ECONOMY if you plan to stand long in any argument. Tf2 trading extends a lot farther than that. Something that can be different on any given day at any time isn't easily tracked without some sort of statchecker.

Almost everyone currently buying these hats are just trying to sell them for a higher price to make a profit. I'm sure no one would pay an entire buds for a B.M.O.C. if they were trying to buy it for the soul purpose of appreciating it as a "good-looking" hat. Just think about it, with one or two buds, you can get a pretty good low-tier, if not mid-tier unusual. Ask yourself this: What would you rather get: an unusual, or a Santa hat that only looks nice one season of the year?

**I am only using the unusuals as an example; you don't need to contradict what I said about getting them for 1 or 2 buds as that is not the point I am trying to prove here.**

Only keep these hats because you like them as a hat. Don't expect to sell them for 1 or 2 buds because that IS pretty outrageous. Remember, if nobody wants to buy them, nobody has to.

www.tf2stats.net <for rarity percentages. I ended up selling my B.M.O.C. because I didn't like it anymore. Sold for black Bills and a Vintage Tossle. Didn't scam either. They knew exactly what was going on with the spreadsheet and price of B.M.O.C.s/Ebenezers. Had a nice conversation with them after the trade.

Now how many of you guys bought a BMOC just because they were rising? I had purchased a gunslinger, sold it for a bunch of items ,one of which was a bmoc. I like the bmoc, and I doubt i'll sell it unless my brother decides to be an indian giver and wants his bills back (spent it on the gunslinger, which was spent on a bmoc + sweets =P). How many of you actually know where to find the proof that bmoc and ebenezer are so rare?
