Seems we can just download wasteland and stick it in the ArmA III MPMissions folder and host our own private server if we just want to enjoy it sans hackers and douchebags. I tried it myself and it's as easy as it was to instal escape from Chernarus. Of course that means fighting eachother ;)

Hoppus is an old friend of mine who just recently got ARMAII and is looking forward to trying out some DayZ.

Damn, that is a shame our base on Illuminati got comprimised.

On a different note I went back onto that base building server (search for "NGG") today for a bit. I looked around cherno for a bit and found some parts and eventually a parket heli (low on fuel). I flew the heli to the same base location as on illuminati. I also put in the heli a toolbox, jerry can and some base-building materials to make a start on a base. So if you guys want to a have a crack at base building we have a pretty decent starting setup now.

Well so much for the camp on Illuminati. Someone named BLACK ANGUS which may or may not have been one of the Illuminati guys (said he may or may not be mr wallace) posted our co-ordinated into the side chat saying if anyone wanted guns, that was the place to go. He then fixed the orange Ural (since only one tire was shot out... tsk tsk tsk) and robbed us blind... or so he said.

By the time he admitted he was loading the Ural I was in Electro, don't think I could have done much. So much for putting all our eggs in one basket, easy come easy go.

So I single handedly finished repairing the heli, fueled it, grabbed some spare parts, and returned it to base on the Illuminati server. Guess you guys will have to make your own way back. ;)

Also wanted to mention that Undead, Nathan, and I found an easy way to get hero skins. Go to a hospital with a buddy. Shoot each other and keep giving them blood, bandages, morphine, etc.

Of course the downside to the hero skin is that moving faster means it's easier to fall off of things to your death. Like say as you are searching building roofs in Fallujah for matches...

Luckily I made it back to my body so I still have the special kit I was working on; PDW w/mp5sd mags, M4A1 Holo w/6+ HE grenades and stanag sd mags. Makes for an interesting pvp build or so I hope. ;)

MACPHAIL and I did some tests last night. Seems you can bail from a heli at an altitude of 40 and live. That is pretty close. So in the future if need be a pilot can easily buzz an area and people can bail out. We also practised pick ups from various structures and points with out landing.

Having that Humvee turns our merry band of survivors into a super-tough force. I would totally be up for some more fallujah - just give me a shout.

Just Checked and the Humvee is still where we stashed it a few nights ago on OTG. If people are up for some more Fallujah mayhem anytime let me know.

Amazing night last night on DayZ Fallujah - with Macphail and Circle playing bad guys in the Humvee and Nathan, Undead and Andi as "heroes" in the helicopter.

At one point the Humvee was terrorising a pair of experienced players, while the helicopter was returning the increasingly enraged pair to their bodies and nice loot at the airfield while "battling" the evil humvee.

This came to a creshendo when one of the tormented guys returned to one of the barracks and was shot on site by his friend - thinking it was an evil humvee bandit coming in the door.

I reckon that was one of my most enjoyable nights on dayz so far - so nice job to everyone and hopefully we can do it again soon.

Wow, I really had a great time on fallujah last night- great work from everyone (especially from Nathan with his flying skillz).

My stand out moment was when MacPhail spotted the guy with the AK running back to his "base" (where the chinook was parked) and I broke his legs with the mounted gun of the helicopter and then MacPhail ram him down in the humvee. Good times.

Really looking forward to playing some more over the coming days and weeks - hopefully with even more team members.

Please welcome Capt1nSpoona, a.k.a. Nathan. Met him on Fallujah and he helped us load up on loot and and troll some people. Although he was smarter than us and left moments before we had a second bus up and running and got shot at by a heli and then killed by a sniper. Good times!

After a long hiatus, I returned to DAYZ with circle. We have had a hoot and a holler playing on the fallujah map and we would very much appreciate the assistance of our fellow brothers as I feel we could easily dominate this small map. If you guys fancy a group sesh, shout me and circle up.

It was a great night.

It took me some andrenalin minutes to find him again after i saw him first.
I just got lucky, the player prowned, so he was an easy target.

I like that idea, especially for missions since announcements seem to go away after some time like you said and most of them don't deserve an entire announcement about it. We could try to get the new document started this Sunday and whoever has the most points by Saturday becomes POTW next Sunday.
