Also, are you sure that services are the issue here? IRC seems quite fine, or any kind of chat room thingy such as a Skype group or whatever... Actually a Skype group might be better since people tend to just leave it on "start with Windows" and as such will be reachable for group chat whenever their computers are on. What else are you looking for in a communication service? o_O

It seems there are people with the skills to help, who are sceptical about whether or not the whole thing can even go down. As has been said before, there doesn't seem to be a solid plan of any kind. And well, I'm all for improvising, but it ain't particularly convincing.

Of course I don't know what exactly the problem is you guys are facing at the moment. Sorry for the lecture in any case, especially since I'm mostly just stating the obvious here...

I don't see how you guys can even do anything to bring back the game. No company is stupid enough to host a dead game and I doubt anyone has the money here to host a actual good server.

Or maybe we just murder fructus....

Well I'll surely poke around some more, I have an idea that since when european server was down the game was supposedly Peer To Peer, if that was true then there should in theory be enough server side code in the client of the game but if there isn't as I said emulating a server without being able to sniff/ packet log a real one is next to impossible.

Hmm... Well if Brawl has a substantially different login system then say, MicroVolts... I just wonder what the people who are actually working on this, like Half, think of this, but I don't really see much reaction from them...
I can definitely see and respect the 'ARE WE GONNA GET SOMETHING LIKE THIS STOP US FROM ACHIEVING OUR DREAM' in your head, Hazel, but an issue like this still needs to be adressed in some way, right? Then again, I don't want to push anyone either .o.

Don't wanna be the bearer of bad news here but since there is no working live server (zombirock down, bb down, bb ph down) it will be next to impossible to write an emu as we can't log proper communication between client and server and reverse it ;/
