Steam doesnt offer refunds for faulty dlcs above 2hrs of playtime.
This is a rant. And sorry, english is not my first language.

It may be my fault and that I didnt understand this whole manual refund thing but I just want to get this off my chest. Okay, so I played this game and had 50+hrs of playtime and had liked it soo much that I decided to buy multiple dlcs for it. Many were very good and some were meh but atleast most of them worked except for the latest 2 I bought which somehow they had broken quests and sometimes does not even give skill points when leveling up. Had a whole day trying to fix it, thought "oh it was happening to a few players (according to reddit) and probably the issue was on my side" and even decided to email the devs about it, after 3hrs and 10mins of "playtime" decided it was too much of a hassle and tried refunding it to no avail so I had to try the manual one and got "unfortunately, your purchase does not qualify for a refund. to ensure future eligibility, please submit refund requests within 14days of purchase and less than 2hrs of playtime" and the problem was I had 3hrs of playtime.

Closed the ticket, asked another one for is there no possible way that a 3hr playtime would get a refund, waited for almost 2days because I had not realized that they deem it as 1 problem and I had been annoying for getting 2 tickets which I hadnt known because I had already closed the first one. I had explained everything about the situation and the broken dlcs, even had screenshots of everything that I had a record of. They respond with "we have reviewed your request again, your purchase does not qualify, to ensure future eligibility....." it was the same answer and they closed the ticket themselves.

I dont know, I guess I am just annoyed that I dont even get an answer where is there really no other way to get a refund for a 3hr playtime dlc that those 3hrs were just spent mostly troubleshooting and an explaination was it the overall game playtime that was too big having 50+hrs before buying those dlcs? I have read people getting refunds on games where they had more than 3hrs of gametime and were just bored https://test1.login.steam.hlxgame.cc/discussions/forum/1/458606877322757821
I thought I had a better chance of getting my money back for a faulty dlc. (i dont know if I had properly explained it that I just wanted for those 2dlcs to be refunded and not the whole game itself cause I aint that good in english)

Now Im stuck with these 2 dlcs now looking for mods to fix this thing while waiting for any fixes from the devs themselves. I guess the lesson I learned from this is that if its broken, dont fix by myself and instantly refund it cause I aint getting that money back lol.

The ''base game'' needs to have less than 2 hours play time, even when refunding dlc's.

You could try submitting a manual ticket. Select the purchase, then select "I have a question" and make your request there. But if they say no then that is the final answer....

I honestly didn't fault you for playing a game with that much enthusiasm.

i kinda read the refund policy as "hours of playtime after the dlc is bought and not the whole game itself" cause i only really wanted to refund the dlc.... im planning to play 60+ more hours in the base game and the dlcs that actually work lmao
