"You know what the problem is around here? Everyone thinks the earth is round!!"
Even if the earth was flat, i couldnt care less lol
Interestingly if you remain in this state where you've sort of split object permanence off into a separate parallel process (ie you are aware of it, can conceive of it, but it somehow feels faint and distance, far away, hard to access directly) then reality starts to become unstable. Things that would never happen otherwise will begin happening with regularity. I also found it causes a sort of bliss by freeing you from various things, but also induces a sort of brain damage when it comes to spatial awareness and navigation. Since reality is a bubble around you, the brain doesn't bother to adjust the boundaries in realtime. Rather your brain will load its conception of a space and then move around within it. The chunking is not dynamic, it's fixed. So to remember paths, and figure out how to get between 2 places or navigate great distances, your minds starts feeling like spaghetti. You have to try to connect all the discrete bubbles together. I don't know why this is, you would imagine categorical thinking would remain intact regardless. Like even if a particular highway is stored as a bubble floating in a void, you still a tree of what connects to it, and should be able to just traverse that and use a few broader indexed routes that are pre-stored to fill in the blanks. But it doesn't work. Nothing sticks and the brain simply will not do it, there's some sort of specialized hardware it uses for that (not unlike how a dedicated part of the brain uses the inner ear and magnetite in the meninges to track rotation) and the redundant system you rely on having necessarily bypassed I suppose have severe bottlenecks handling that and other tasks at the same time. Dragging everything out of the unconscious and managing it in the conscious frame just isn't possible.
That's why I'm not all that concerned about whether we're a globe Earth amidst eleventy gajillion millions stars and galaxies, or if it's got a dome over it and stars are sonoluminescence, or if my real body is in a pod and I'm jacked into a torture simulation known as the matrix which is harvesting my loosh literally or etaphorically. Actually I am concerned about the latter, it is highly relevant to determine whether one has a real(er) body "elsewhere". Otherwise I'm just not all that interested in asserting or arguing over things I simply cannot know. See eg the munchhausen trilemma.

So in conclusion that's what I think about whether the Earth is flat.
Anyone who believes in it is extremely uninformed.
