No, it's usually because the concept of God is irrelevant to their life or unnecessary for their worldview and what they believe in.

I would say that people who believe in something with zero proof are more lazy. Atheists actually had to excercise their brain cells a little to reach to their conclusions of why they don`t believe, instead of just taking other people`s "God is real, trust me bro" as proof.

Atheists are naive god exists and it is evil and cruel, but they don't like to acknowledge that. They prefer to believe that the universe we live in and life itself are ok and that they have no enemies rather than acknlwledge that life sucks and that the god who create3d it is our worst enemy.

so they also have beliefs, they just think what they believe is the proven truth

I grew up apolitical and non-religious, so my core remains patterned as such so far as transplantation of external ideas. I'd say that's true in many ways / cases, atheists do strike me as a combination of lazy and needy, but without honesty or awareness. I'm not really impressed by them at all. They were just given a religion in a different form. On some level I have to look at them and think, "what good are you?"

Many atheists are pious people. They choose atheism not in spite, but because of, their piety.

I don't believe in atheism.

Believeing in God is probably the hardest thing I do every day. I know he is there, I know he hates me and I know that he is plotting my demise. I wonder often how he is going to get me. I have very strange luck, I seem to have none, but when the chips are down he will hand me an ace. And its so cruel too, cause he just wants me to keep hanging on so I can suffer more. Maybe a piano will fall on my head or something, that would be nice.
