Climate Change Credit Score System?
Every citizen participates in a system that links personal environmental impact to tangible rewards, encouraging sustainable choices while limiting overconsumption.

The goal is to reduce carbon emissions, conserve resources, and incentivize responsible behavior.

Each individual receives a monthly carbon allowance measured in CO₂-equivalent units. Activities like driving fuel-based vehicles, flying, using electricity, or consuming carbon-intensive products deduct from this allowance.

How do you feel about this new credit score system?

China ahh post
It's really stupid.
Sounds like a communist nightmare, no thanks.
it's not us little people doing most of the polluting though.
A better solution would be high carbon taxes on corporations and billionaires that can be lowered through incentives like investing meaningful amounts in reducing pollution and emissions and increasing recycling.

It has a capitalist mechanism where you can earn points.

Citizens who stay under their monthly carbon allowance earn green tokens.

Tokens can be redeemed for:

Tax credits or discounts on public services

Free or discounted public transport

Access to sustainable products and services

Investment in community green projects

Those who exceed their allowance may:

Pay a small carbon fee

Receive fewer tokens the next month

I recycle as much as I can, don't go on holidays, walk where I can.

I expect a tax break.

Oh wait no, of course I won't get a tax break, because this is all a scam. I'll be paying more for less like we're always been doing since the beginning.
The incentive usually turns into fines quite quickly. Just like obama punishing ppl who cant afford health care but are slightly above poverty with $1000 yearly fines.

Also with evs they prob dont factor in that it takes a lot of carbon to make one vs having people recycle 20 year old cars and keep driving them. The balance of less carbon from making an ev and powering it is usually more carbon than using existing car and burning gas till car finally wears out.

Hell no

Electric vehicles are worse for the environment anyway.

Want to offset co2? Plant trees.
Crop farmers do most of the environment damage, something regular citizens have no control over. Put the blame where it belongs. If you really want to help the environment, you need to remove crop subsidies, replace them with taxes, and get people to move from plant based diets to meat based, as much as possible.

If I said, I would get banned.

What I will say is, NOPE.
I think it's dumb, when 1% of people contribute to over 90% of the carbon emissions, how does it make sense for the rest of the people to have to follow this thing?

This would not at all affect those who are responsible for the majority of the emissions.
Do you work for the ccp?
