Do you know, that when you give dog food, and then take it back, it wants to bite you?
it is like firmware.
but it is not exclusive to dogs, humans can be like this too.
so, don't be surprised when it happens. you all did everything, made perfect conditions for this behavior in humans.

Dogs are loyal, social creatures, who show empathy, unconditional love and encourage active life styles outside.

To call them stupid is to not of lived at all. I feel sorry for you. Those that tend to hate dogs, such as Trump, etc... are narcissistic or another disorder, in which they lack empathy.

A dog can even detect a person is trustworthy or not, but reading them at an emotional level. So they already know who to trust or not. Hense they dislike you as well if untrustworthy. That's the main reason some humans hate them, because of their own corrupt actions.

Domesticated dogs and modern humans are not free beings, but they strive to regain their freedom back.
I can place down a burger on a plate in front of my dog and merely tell him to leave it. Then utterly trust him while going into the next room out of view. Because my dog knows he's going to be fed and rewarded anyways, that's just not his food.

Dogs just hate it when others, including other dogs or humans, leech their food with nothing in return. If the dog pack has to fight over a few scraps, it's the weakest one who gets the less amount. So they have to fight for survival and dog pack status.

Now some owners play that Alpha pack leader bs or fear that they will go around while your out of view, but respect and knowing "it's your choice" goes a lot longer way.

Highly recommend teaching all dogs this:

Metallica had a song about not biting the hand that feeds you, but stealing food? Oh, thats definitely a biting. Why was this no-brainer of a thread created?

Secondly I'm really surprised the guy above didn't try to turn this topic into being about that one guy, like their other topic.
Dogs are nice, but I am more of a cat lady.

i see that you are not dog trainer at all then. because this reflex happens even in well trained dog. i didn't say it bites, correct? i said it wants to bite. i think you are also not much of a reader, too.

where are you from?

spit on it call it a day
"Take a bone from a dog: what remains?"
Alice considered. "The bone wouldn't remain, of course, if I took it - and the dog wouldn't remain; it would come to bite me - and I'm sure I shouldn't remain!"
"Then you think nothing would remain?" said the Red Queen.
"I think that's the answer."
"Wrong, as usual," said the Red Queen: "the dog's temper would remain."
