why nostalgia is addictive?
I was like I had a moment when I was so hyped about a remake of a film then turned out it is still the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ that has been repeated many times, so I feel like a waste of money getting caught into that hype. Nowadays, I hardly can make myself care about a thing that i once finished a long time ago, Why too many people are still wanting the creators feeding the same nostalgia all over again? don't they get bored?

Nostalgia is addictive because when we feel it, it reminds us of a time or moment when we felt pure joy about a particular thing, usually when we've not seen or experienced it in a long time.

i can see things related to real life experiences but like when it comes to something as entertainment?

Because what you live in your early years of life shape the very structure of your brain. It's a reminder of what you've builded yourself with at the start.

Entertainment is a real life experience.

It's a reminder that things can just work sometimes, by the grace of God.

Because some times in history were better, its a lie that everything is the same. Movies music quality make that obvious.

It's called "woke". Ruins everything indeed...

It's not just nostalgia for me. Stuff used to be higher quality. Don't believe me? Go watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2, 3 and 4. The only thing you are looking for is the CGI quality. Now compare it to you average modern day Marvel slop.

Games used to be faster. Not wasting your time with season passes, grinding, crafting, copy pasted content. You could finish 1 playthrough in 10 hours. Now it's 10 hours of fun and 40 hours of busywork. Calling it "content".

However I do NOT pay for nostalgia. The og products are still out there. I am not coughing up a single dime to buy the same thing again. Especially when it is a downgrade. Like the blatant censorship and toned down violence in Silent Hill 2, Age of Mythology Retold and Age of Empires 2 DE.
if you did grow up with it your lucky
but if you didnt you missed the best part of growing up

For nostaliga isnt real its a illusion of past with a lense making things look better than they actually there. Nostaliga is a longing for an imaginairy past usually childhood when you had no responsebilities but you also ignore the future

"nostaliga" exists, but in most cases... its a conflation of interest.

"addictive"... not in the slightest.

you like old games? thats perfectly fine... (you like old electronics, or old cars, or old mowers/riders, or old houses, or old tv shows/movies/etc.., old motor bikes/peddle bikes, or older stuff in general? all perfectly fine).

many claim "nostalgia" against people, whom happen to like older games, or older art styles, or older gameplay mechanics, etc.. etc..

just because others like older things, doesnt make it "nostalgia".

nor is it "nostalgia", when some dont like "newer games", because all the other factors are ignored to point "nostalgia" in another person direction.

in any case, some people have different tastes, while others dont like other people tastes.

that all said, you be you, like what you like, have fun how you want, dont let others tell you different.

have a nice day

It induces a reflexive change in the body - dopamine and all that ♥♥♥♥. People associate nostalgia with the past....when times were easier and when you had less worry....at least for me
