Is this what half-life was about. The hev suit was just a metaphor for a chastity device?

HIV suit. Fighting aliens. Fighting "the combine" (male and female merging). They have a reproductive suppression field. The suit is orange, like the sun. Marking him as a sort of Christ figure.
