First time building a PC - newbie
Hello everyone,

I have a 8 years old HP Omen desktop gaming pc and now its time to buy a new one. For the first time I will build my own PC because prices are really high in my country and I don't want to buy a pre build PC. After a long research, I decided to buy CPU, motherboard and graphics card first in my next travel. PC Case, cooling systems, RAMs and PSU will be decided later. I would also like to mention that I am a very casual gamer and I don't have any high CPU tasks like rendering video editing etc.
I mostly play FPS games (Cod, BF6, Rust and CS2 and MMORPGs) The decided parts may be overkill to these games but I don't want to think of upgrading my PC for a very long time like my old HP Omen)

Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E GAMING WIFI ATX
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D AM5 Desktop Processor with AMD Radeon Graphics, 8 Cores & 16 Threads
Graphics Card: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5070 12GB OC Graphics Card, GDDR7 192-Bit Memory

Do you think these parts will be sustainable in the long term ? Also, if there are any issues or things to consider (the parts that I chose) while buying PC Case and Cooling systems, feel free to warn me :D

I personally wouldn't buy that graphics card if you're looking for long-term usage. The 12gb vram on a new mid-level card is stingy. The GDDR7 hype has little impact on gaming, which is probably why AMD stuck with GDDR6.

I usually play at 1080p at 144hz. But I will also update my monitor this year.

Cheaper mobo, put the money into the Ti.

Wouldn't get that mainboard. 12% 1 star reviews and 3% 2 star reviews on amazon. Probably avoid the 870 also.

Might have erhernet or wifi issues?

Model? ASUS ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI ATX

Or sorting comments? Log into amazon. Sort by 1 star comments then sort by newest. Then do 2 star and sort by newest. Look for common issues. I haven't done it. Mainboards are a pain to buy.

GPU is fine. CPU you can save yourself the money and get a cheap 12600k-12700k. Performs better in those games too.
X3d CPUs are really not that great. They work OK but I don't think it's worth the premium that AMD is asking for.

The choice in the end is yours. I play a lot of strategy games and some rocket league. Both the 7800x3d and 9800x3d I had would have occasional framedrops that I didn't witness on my intel setups.

cheap i5 and i7 with DDR4 , this is a downgrade . Susceptible to more stuttering .Intel is the second gaming option. if you want something cheap yes , intel i5 + DDR4 would be ok

Take the 7800X3D with a B650-E mobo. Be aware that RAM prices are crazy right now.

I heard some negative stuff about Asus recently. Should I go for an MSI or Gigabyte motherboard ?
