An option to Ignore either Unity engine games or games with system requirements beyond my capabilities
I give up.
Unity slop is growing too dense.
My rig can't run ANY recent Unity based game because system requirements of these are starting off off 8GB RAM at the very least even for shovelware 2D projects.
I'd be glad to buy few more games for long winter nights - but almost everything I bump onto is same Unity ♥♥♥♥♥ with 8GB RAM as minimal system requirements.
You're losing money by not allowing the customer to filter away things he can't physically run.

Games are not to blame, it is time to upgrade!.

:saint:
I haven't owned a single device with less than 16 gigabytes of RAM for about a decade. If you're running into problems with less than half of that, it's time to buy some cheap RAM sticks off ebay or whatever and slot them into your machine.

Ah, yes, right amidst of RAM price spike.
Check your local news.

So you're the one to blame for Unity and Unity games developers being blatantly incompetent, am I correct?
Or what are you trying to tell me?
Are you trying to tell me here at Steam that I should not spend money on Steam and buy something else elsewhere instead?
Are you alright, bud? Nausea? Headache? Greenish face? No sympthoms of this kind, right?

No, he’s telling you to upgrade, if you’re able to read what he said.

Not the engine's fault if developers don't follow best practices for resource optimization

Actually, engine's, first and foremost.
See official engine documentation[docs.unity3d.com] on resource management. "grab everything and stuff into RAM/VRAM on startup. No offloading." That's how Unity does things by default (and its developers advertise as best practice because d'oh! default!) for twenty years.
Even blasted Construct engine doesn't do that by default anymore.

And I'm telling him that he needs a therapist.

You had plenty of time to upgrade before the spike. Sounds like an excuse to me.

Sneak into a Western country and go dumpster diving. You will find a working PC with 16GB RAM in the trash.
The more one interacts with modern developers and their simps, the more one understands the sorry state of modern programming talent
Unity alone accounts for 58,710 games on Steam.

This doesn't include the spec check suggestion which doesn't work with games like...

OP did not include that suggestion as he was using Unity engine as a means of identifying RAM usage.
People also tend to forget that 8GB doesn't mean all 8 is free due to the os, background apps, and anything that is running taking up RAM & background CPU use as well. When individuals also complain about performance with 8GB RAM, typically, it's paired with a low-end processor, like an FX series cpu which struggles with a lot of tasks. So the questions are what cpu/gpu is also being used and how tasked they already are before loading the games.

Which are what? System specs, correct?

I rest my case.

Indeed. System specs are subjective and often inaccurate. Steam has no requirement that they be accurate or even capture any or all of the requirements to run the game.

The game engine is an objective measure and cannot be falsified as game devs might do. Hence why OP was asking about the engine specifically and not for the specs check. An imperfect proxy but it gives more useful information in practice than asking for a system specs check, which he did not ask for as you agree.

Not all Unity games require 8GB RAM.
