Steam Client Idea
This may have already been suggested, but I did search and didn’t find it.

It would be nice if there was a user-activated toggle or something to say you have completed a game (i.e. Played and completed the story even if I didn’t complete achievements). I personally would like a banner on the cover art kinda like when it says “New Game” that you buy on Steam Deck. Maybe just some kind of symbol that says I’ve gotten through it.

Just a thought. :)

You could also create a custom collection for those finished game. Not an ideal solution but until something changes, you can do that.

I’ve already done that and you’re right, it works it’s just not very elegant. Thank you for the feedback, though. :)

yeah i just have a catogory i add them to when i beat them as well , its not great but it works. if your trying to keep track of your backlog tho there are some pretty decent sites for it outside of steam proper. i've recently started using infinite backlog and its pretty great honestly . it'll pull in your steam info ( and other things like psn , xb live , gog ) if you link it and it actually does a pretty solid job of flagging things as beaten/ completed based on achievement data tho you can set them manually as well

As others mention i added a collection called beaten. It does show on the library page on the upper right when you click on the game you see all your custom collections.

I have the opposite: a custom collection named !TODO (the exclamation mark is so that it comes first alphabetically) and I put games in there when I get them and take them out when I'm pretty sure I'm done with them forever.
