Would it be a good idea to add a display for custom animated avatars (.gif)?
While I was looking at my Steam profile for a while, thinking about how to make it look better, I wanted to see if I could change my profile picture to an animated one.

But when I went to the Points Shop, I only saw animated profile pictures that I didn't like. I thought to myself, "If there are animated profile pictures... shouldn't there be a showcase?" Unfortunately, that doesn't exist.

That's why I wanted to make this suggestion. A showcase that allows you to add animated profile pictures from your gallery or that allows .gif images would be amazing. It would be incredible if such a feature could be added to Steam, something that could be used to level up or be purchased in the Points Shop.

Would it be good if Steam added or allowed profile pictures with .gif images?

1468 animated showcases - did you scroll down on the tabs on the left of the store page

Become a game developer, make a game that's popular enough to get profile features enabled, and upload your animated avatar to the points shop.

It's a really good idea, but it'll take a long time. Besides, I don't want to make a cookie clicker and put my gothic avatars in it, lmao.

I'm sorry, but I meant that you could add your own animated avatars, not the existing ones. Sorry for the confusion.

And people would start uploading animated porn avatars like they do with artworks and workshop, especially if they could make a showcase out of them.

"Gothic clicker game" is an untapped market.
