I just used vpn to claim the free offer of black desert online because will get banned
So I saw that black desert online is free for some time

But it's not available in my region

Will I get banned for using VPN and Claiming it

Also I heard once you claim a game from another region you can't buy games in your original region for 3 months

That free thing you got will not be playable until you return to that region(another visit through a VPN).
Your 'location' is your billing address that you give to Steam when you buy from the Steam Store and if you're not in that region when you buy it could cause 'problems'. I haven't heard about the 3 month lockout though, but if you got hacked you'd certainly one something like that so they couldn't do much while you spend some time trying to recover your account.

Whether game be free or paid, VPN doesn't affect store regions in any way. If you want to play a region locked game, move to a country where that game is available for and make a particular payment method there.

Correct. Going back to your home country and making your previous payment method again will result in the game being unplayable for 90 days.

Violating the Steam Subscriber Agreement using a VPN to get games not available in your region can lead to account locks.

True. I think steam is more concerned with other things. Like how the police are worried more about murderer's than shoplifters in a analogy.
