steam censoring browndust2
blocking browndust2 release when you have actual hentai on the platform is insane, i was really looking forward to playing that game on my steamdeck.

Valve's platform, Valve's choice.

Secondly there must be a reason why which they will have informed the developer about.
It's good. Steam doesn't need another junk sex game.

I guess, the devs try to sort this out as quickly as possible. I have no further informations but that's what I heard.

dang, im sure they didnt intend to break TOS, they just didnt read it properly or maybe at all.. aw well, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and they gotta deal with the consequence
"I didn't know the rules" isn't an excuse. Once ya get yourself banned from the steam store, its generally permanent.

yeah and it would be valid, its the devs fault, just really stupid that they would do something like this.
"hey this game is woke, develpoer do it because it would get attention for sale. we need to wishlist it to piss many normal people"

- mostly came from latest ubisoft game. should've bann that game instead
About time Valve removes the retarded wishlist rule. A wishlist addition is not a positive review bombing or a negative review bombing. It is just a way to keep track of the title until launch.

If 200 000 people were looking forward to playing the game, that is just it.

The assumption that 200 000 who couldn't care less about a video game, would go and make false wishlists for free items in the game they don't care about, is ridiculous.

You may as well make it a ban to have journalists write about games before launch because it could cause someone to wishlist a game. An apparently terrible thing to happen on a Steam store.

Nah this is similar to Amazon not allowing sellers to offer you incentives for 5-star reviews; they want to protect the integrity of their metrics.

I didn't even know that was a thing! Glad I looked into it because there's quite a bit of misinformation floating about it.

Blue Archive did the exact same thing, so reasonably Brown Dust 2 should be back soon, unless there is something more sinister behind the removal of the page.

Steam might have censored it, but it might also be related with a rule, giving rewards for wishlisting or something similar, I think there was another game that this happened but I dont remember if it was banned, was it blue archive?

If the other game was not banned then steam is not being consistent with their rules and it might be targeted censorship, but this rule is very clear.

They were paying players to leave reviews, which is an even bigger no-no.
